MET2010/2011シーズン「ボリス・ゴドゥノフ」
MET(Metropolitan Opera)の2010/2011シーズンのスケジュールが発表されました。パーペは新演出のボリス・ゴドゥノフに出演予定です。公演は10月と3月に分散しているので旅行者にも予定が立てやすいスケジュールですね。URL先には、衣装を付けたパーペの写真やセットが見れるビデオ（演出のペーター・スタインによる解説）もありますよ。すごい力の入れようだ。もう逃げられませんね（笑）。
写真が〜〜〜パーペなのに中性的だ〜。ハゲかけヅラ*1 *2なのにフェミニンだ〜〜〜コスチュームデザイナーの画と全然違うものになってる〜〜〜（机をバンバン叩きながらウケている）。怪し過ぎる。誰かこの人が話をねじ曲げるのを止めさせて。笑い過ぎてお腹イタイ。イタタタタ。

Boris GodunovBass René Pape takes on one of the greatest roles in a production by monumental theater and opera director Peter Stein, in his Met debut. Valery Gergiev conducts Mussorgsky’s soulful spectacle, which captures the suffering and ambition of a nation. “Boris Godunov is a masterpiece,” Stein says. “The challenge is to transmit the enormous emotional depth of the whole thing. Boris is the czar, but he is expressing a problem we all have: the consequences of human actions.” Aleksandrs Antonenko, Vladimir Ognovenko, and Ekaterina Semenchuk lead the huge cast in a work that is also a breathtaking showcase for the Met’s formidable chorus. “Boris,” Stein says, “is one of the richest operas ever written.”

Met Opera 2010-11 Season Announcement, February 22, 2010The new production of Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov, conducted by Valery Gergiev, will be staged by Peter Stein, one of the world’s leading theater directors. German bass René Pape takes on the iconic title role for the first time with the company. His portrayals of such roles as King Marke in Tristan und Isolde, Méphistophélès in Faust, Gurnemanz in Parsifal, and King Philip in Don Carlo have made him an audience favorite at the Met and won extraordinary critical acclaim. Also making Met role debuts are Ekaterina Semenchuk as Marina, Aleksandrs Antonenko as Dimitri, Oleg Balashov as Shuisky, Evgeny Nikitin as Rangoni, and Mikhail Petrenko as Pimen. Vladimir Ognovenko sings Varlaam. Set designer Ferdinand Wögerbauer, costume designer Moidele Bickel, and choreographer Apostolia Tsolaki make their Met debuts. Lighting design is by Duane Schuler. Boris Godunov will be performed with Mussorgsky’s original orchestration. The production is a gift of Karen and Kevin Kennedy and Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer J. Thomas, Jr.
