  In Ascension stood Aarhus in kormusikkens characters. Under the title New Danish Church Music 2012 gave 11 of the country's best choral concerts of contemporary Danish church music. Look two concerts with Sokkelund Choirs and Aarhus Universitetkor in cooperation with Musikca Ficta. The music is of particular Bernhard Lewkovitch, Leif Kayser, Niels la Cour, Erik Haumann, Christian Pastor Holm, writes Per and Bo Holten.

Stavanger Symphony Orchestra plays music by Dowland, Per Norgard, Carl Nielsen and Buxtehude, led by Andrew Manze and violinist Peter Herresthal as soloist in Per Norgard's Violin Concerto No. 2 Kl. 21 plays amari perhaps JACK Quartet string quartets of Jexper Holmen, Allain Gaussin, Joel-Francois Durand, Simon Steen-Andersen, and Xenakis.
