From the Usher Hall, Edinburgh, as part of the 2009 International Festival, Welsh superstar bass-baritone Bryn Terfel is joined by pianist Malcolm Martineau to perform a typically eclectic programme. It includes songs from the romantic idylls of pre-war England by Ireland, Warlock, Keel, Vaughan Williams and Quilter, opera arias and Schubert lieder, Faure miniatures, as well as folk songs of the British Isles dearest to Terfel's heart.

果てしなくどうでもいいことだが、ターフェルとパーペを一緒に特集してるとパーペファンに怒られそうで、あまり大っぴらに出来ない気が*1。いやいやいやいや・・・・そういうことじゃなくて、ウェールズの歌がいいんですってば。本当ですってば*2。決して、決して、あのお腹に懐いてみたいとか、アゴにすりすりしたいとか考えてませんから！
